Re: Is 37 points enough to stay up ?
Can we see West Brom getting 17 points out of the next 9 games? Seeing as they've got 20 out of the last 29, no.

Can we see Stoke and/ or Palace getting 10 out of the next 9? Just maybe.

Southampton getting 9? Newcastle getting 8? Huddersfield getting 7? It's very possible.

38 or 39 will stay up. At 37 we'd be hoping that Stoke and Palace don't both have a good run in, and we'd be in a dog fight with Southampton, Newcastle, and Huddersfield if they do.

yeah cheated out of those two, and let another 4 through our fingers against Palace and Burnley, late equalisers.

And the absolutely woeful performances dotted through the season, most recently last week!

Everybody seems to be playing with more pace determination and vigour than we are at the moment

Its going to be close!

I'm still seething over that Bournemouth game away!!!....If we're relegated by 2 points i don't fancy being Madley if that happens!!

I think we need lots of points from the Burnley game.

Looking back at Southampton, Burnley and CP away and wondering what might have been.

CP away is not a good memory.

I think it's gonna be a bloody close call this season.

Wouldn't like to see us risk finishing on 37 points.

38 might be enough to stay up but I wouldn't be too impressed if Moyes only got us to that tally.

Lets hope by the time we play City they've already won the league and are heavily involved in the CL and will field a B team...still

If I was a betting man; I'd bet heavily in favour of us beating the drop. We should do enough.

It still doesn't excuse yet another fucking woeful season and the fact that our two bob cheapskate wanker owners are simply not investing enough in player recruitment to take us to the levels that they were fucking claiming that they'd take us to.

If we do go down; the only thing that will console me somewhat is how much it'll hurt the cheapskate wankers financially and it will surely also cement them as arguably the worst owners in the history of English football.

Can’t see us getting a single point after the Stoke game. Newcastle and Southampton have much better GD than us now. Recent results have killed us there. I think we’ll go down with 37.

I dont think we will beat Burnley on Saturday. They are a great little team this season. I hope we do but it a head over heart thing for me. I can only see 6 points from our remaining games and that's Stoke and Southampton. Hopefully we can pick up the odd draw elsewhere (which is typical of our club)

Re: Is 37 points enough to stay up ?
37 will be tight i think, need 39 or 40 to guarantee survivial

Away games look a write off so its at home we need to pick up the points. If we cant get minimum of 7 points out of the home games that are left we dont deserve to stay up. Then nick 1 or 2 on the road

Looking at the remaining fixtures for our rivals ours is certainly amongst the toughest. I have Hudds, Stoke and WBA to drop.

Hudds next 4 are Swansea & Palace at home followed by Newcastle and Brighton away.

Stoke - City H Everton H Arsenal A Spurs H

Soton - Newcastle A WHU A Arsenal A Chelsea H

Palace - Chelsea A Hudds H Liverpool A Bournemouth A

Newcastle - Soton H Hudds H Leicester A Arsenal H

I've just been chatting to an Evertonian at work. It's not going too swimmingly for him over there. They've come with the name LARDIOLA for him. Bit disappointed that someone on here never suggested that.

I remember thinking this when we played Newcastle last day of the season a few years back when they could have been relegated. Thought Sam would be desperate to send them down.

But it was his last game for us, the players knew it and no one was really arsed. Think it's becoming a similar story at Everton, so hope Sam doesn't get the bullet before the end of the season.

Sad thing is we are the only side in the entire premiership who are playing 6 of our last 9 games at home. Speaks volumes for our home performances that we should be even considering relegation as a strong possibility.

Re: Is 37 points enough to stay up ?
The home games against Burnley, Soton, Stoke and Everton will largely determine whether we stay up or not. 9 points from these games will see us safe, but we need to get an absolute minimum of 7 from this cluster otherwise we will be in trouble.

If it weren't for the way we set up, Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea could also be fixtures where we could potentially pick up points. Arsenal are in complete dissarray, Conte knows he's getting the push and can't be arsed anymore, and Man City will have won the league and potentially our game with them will be sandwiched between two legs of Champions League semi finals if they get there.

Only problem is Moyes will look to park the bus in all these game rather than attack and have a go like Brighton did today and the likes of Swansea and Bournemouth have done recently meaning we will lose all of them.
